’Elucidator’, non-metallic sword

【’Elucidator’, non-metallic sword】

From SAO

The design is stylish and relatively simple.
In particular, I thought that the shape of the sword's crossguard was quite unique while I was making it.

Firstly, the flat face of the sword was wider than expected; it was difficult to craft the sword to such a degree of precision.

Then, I had difficulties, this time with giving the sword an ideal and fitting colour scheme. (Literally it means he had difficulty painting it I think, but I feel like he wouldn't have a problem with painting, so much as making it look good with the right colour scheme, but correct me if I'm wrong)
I understood that the fundamental image was just a 'black sword', but if I paint it only with black, it'll look too flat, so I had to carefully colour each part, including the sword blade, sword edge, crossguard, grip and also the parts at the top and bottom of the grip.

・If the sword blade is shone in strong light, the sword blade becomes a purplish-red.
・The crossguard is coloured a metallic black with a little less red than the sword blade, and is also darker.
・The top and bottom of the grip is a darker metallic silver than the sword edge.
・Part of the grip has a rough texture due to it being spray painted with a matted or frosted coating.

Also, the bottom of the grip has had a four-leaf-looking pattern discretely engraved into it, like on the crossguard.

Unusually, with the exception of the grip, the rest of the sword has a lustrous finish.

The appearance is just that of a black sword, and yet, I find it interesting that its appearance changes significantly when the lighting conditions and background changes.

We recreated the crossguard to make it thicker towards the centre of the pattern.
Near the tip of the sword is a convex cross-like symbol that protrudes from the sword blade surface, the crossguard's pattern has the appearance of a slight protrusion.
