From An 80 cm metallic version of Dai's sword with lighting and sound effects when unsheathed
This model is for an order we received in May 2014.
Initially, our instructions were to "make a compact model about 80cm long with an open/close gimmick on the guard." However, when we actually got to designing this, there just were so many things we wanted to add so it took a total of 4 years.
Our intentions were to keep maximum attention to the form and balance, but in the end there were several parts where we prioritized the gimmicks.
(Like how some of the nuts and bolts for maintenance are in plain sight)
Also, due to cost and skill issues, we only managed to get about 2-5 uses out of the battery before it ran out...
※The jewel lights up for about an hour.

『In regards to the added gimmicks, I felt that if it wasn't impossible to recreate, it would be better to let the creators do what they believe is best, rather than try to stop their creative flow.

I might want to order the sword guard from the final fight at some point too, lol.』
This is our 3rd time receiving an order from this customer, but I hope that in the right circumstances we can get a 4th order.
(Maybe we could work on that sword guard from the final fight? Although I have no idea how we could go about it...)』
