Loto's Sword Stand for Model 108

This is a stand for the model 108 that we produced
earlier with emphasis on the volume of parts.

When we were in production for model 108, we discussed tons of different ideas with the customers and ended up with an immense amout of extra parts. Because we had no idea how we were supposed to send these extra parts, we needed to discuss with the customer even more.

"Would you like a case?" "You wouldn't be able to see the extra parts then, so how about a stand?" "One that lights up would be nice" "Can you make the letters shine?" "What color?" "Straight LEDs might be a bit too bright" etc.

Following conversations like these we ended up for the final design for the stand.

- Where we paid extra attention to -

We wanted to make a stand that would be able to highlight all of the special parts of the sword all at once!
Even during production we consistently had discussions over how to do the lighting etc.

< Storage for removable unsheathing plate >
< Storage for removable brim >
< Light-up >
< Lighted lettering >

- Other highlights -

There were a lot of difficulties making this stand, and it was even harder than the sword itself and all the parts that it included.

< Sword hook >

There were just too many parts, and with the overall area, and weight, it was very time consuming to carve out.
< Sanding >

We paid special attention to the transition between each step.
We increased the glossiness of the sword so that it would reflect the light of the stand too.
< Painting >

This was the biggest surface area we've ever had to paint, and we had to refill the paint twice during the process.
During the pre-assembly we even found missed spots.

< Weight >
When we put all the ideas together, everything weighed a shocking 50~70kgs.
We forgot to measure the weight before assembly, and we couldn't accurately measure the weight with any of our scales.
It took about 1 year in total from the completion of the sword to the completion of the stand.
We cannot thank the customer enough for letting us go crazy with all the different ideas.
Not only that, but because everything was so big and complicated, we needed the customer to come all the way to us to pick it up. We would like to thank you for the time.
Thank you so very much!

PS: If we get another chance to make a stand, we would like to try a more compact one next.
